Carbon Engineering VMR has its roods in the Royal Dominion in the Netherlands where the family Beekman has experience in charcoal production stretching back as far as 1850.
Out of this long experience, the two brothers Leen and Ger van Marion started 80th last century developed a third generation system of charcoal manufacture: the VMR-systems: less smoke, no smell, less raw material, better labour circumstances, better and constant quality of the charcoal and on top of that thé solution for the worldwide deforestation.
On several continents the VMR-system is realized.
